President

Steve is a long-time resident of Apopka and has been serving the community since 1974. He is a Vietnam veteran and has two masters degrees with concentrations in accounting and finance respectively.
He has lived in Japan for four years, China for two years, and Vietnam for a year.His hobbies include computers, reading about world history, and woodturning on his lathe. Steve and his wife of 44 years, Lorene, have three children, Pam, Ben, and David.
Steve is very active in the Apopka Chamber of Commerce, having served as the president of the Business Growth Network, Chairman of the Chamber Ambassadors and member of the Chamber Board of Directors and member of the Economic Development Council. He was the Apopka Chamber of Commerce Businessman of the year for 2000 and is a life member and officer of Apopka’s VFW Post #10147. He has served on the Board of Community Health Centers for 12 years, is a past treasurer of the Apopka Rotary Club and the Apopka Foliage Sertoma Club, and is active in Orange Lodge #36 where he is a Past Master. He is the Sertoman of the Year for 2012. Since 2006, he has been the chairman of the Apopka Christmas Parade. He speaks regularly on taxation at civic functions and is a past adjunct professor at Valencia Community College and Florida Southern College.
